With over a hundred local restaurants participating in this year’s Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, local foodies may find deciding where to dine more difficult than ever. Each one will be showcasing its signature flavors in three-course lunches for $25.95 and/or dinners for just $35.95. At those prices, how could you possibly decide?

Luckily, we’ve got you covered. Here are four top picks for the three-course meals you should be making reservations for in Putnam County this year:

Char Steakhouse

151 Bryant Pond Rd, Mahopac; 845.526.1200

Char’s menu of sizzling steaks, beaucoup burgers, and hearty steakhouse entrées is already high on our list of special occasion dining favorites. So it’s a no-brainer, then, to snag a Hudson Valley Restaurant Week reservation while you can, to get all the flavors of tender beef, juicy chicken, and perfectly prepared seafood at the discounted price.

Clock Tower Grill

512 Clock Tower Dr, Brewster; 845.582.0574

Always a staple of community events, the American kitchen and bar is busting out an eclectic menu for Restaurant Week, featuring flavors from every corner of the world. Pair spicy pork dumplings or a snap pea salad with kung pow shrimp or house-made ramen for some Asian flair, or head down south with shrimp and grits alongside buttermilk fried chicken and biscuits. With so much to choose from, you may want to go more than once!

Hudson House River Inn

2 Main St, Cold Spring; 845.265.9355

Cold Spring’s historic inn has had a long history of culinary excellence in its almost two centuries on the Hudson. Enjoy lunch or dinner starting with classic dishes like lobster bisque or homemade burrata, then move onto entrées like summer salad, pappardelle with braised beef ragout, or Dijon-crusted New Zealand rack of lamb before finishing the evening with rich New York cheesecake or a warm and gooey apple tartine a la mode.

Riverview Restaurant

45 Fair St, Cold Spring; 845.265.4778

Another Cold Spring landmark, celebrating its 80th birthday this year, Riverview Restaurant offers picturesque Hudson Valley scenery and a selection of equally appetizing New American fare. The menu will rotate daily throughout Restaurant Week, but guests can expect apps like roasted pepper and portobello burrata, steamed mussels, and Cuban black bean soup, as well as mains such as fresh-made ravioli, grilled swordfish, roasted vegetable tacos, and more. Check back daily for new options!

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is back this April 8-21!
