Chances are, if you’re a fan of Valley Table, you’re also a fairly serious foodie. We are, after all, the premiere publication in the Hudson Valley dedicated to celebrating the people, places, and purveyors throughout the region who craft incredible meals, award-winning wines and beers, creative cocktails, and artisanal products inspired by their surroundings.

From our front-of-book “For Starters” section, packed with the latest news about food and the talented, passionate locals who create it, grow it, and sell it, to our “Last Call” page which ends the issue on a very sweet note—specifically, a vegan fruit tart so gorgeous we put it on the cover—Valley Table’s mission is to educate, engage, and inspire.

My favorite feature in this summer issue is “Hotels for Foodies” on page 24. If you’re like me, and never book a hotel or inn without making sure the accomodations and on-site restaurant are equally excellent, you’ll love this round-up of local getaways. I’m still dreaming about my delicious steelhead salmon trout entrée at The Millbrook Inn. Our six picks also boast lovely bars with talented mixologists who—like the restaurant chefs—make the most of the season’s bounty.

Wondering where to make reservations this weekend? Check out “Table Talk” (page 20) where we review new spots and detail all the food and drink info you need to know. Have a wonderful summer!
