It’s apple picking season, which means that orchards and farms are gearing up for exciting fall cidery events in the Hudson Valley.

What’s autumn in the Valley without a trip to one of the region’s orchards or cideries? The only way to properly ring in the harvest season is with pick-your-own adventures, freshly pressed apple cider, and coveted apple cider donuts. Yet, these popular destinations go the extra mile with fall festivals, barbecues, and more festive cidery events – all while serving house-made hard cider on tap.

Angry Orchard kicks off the harvest season with its annual Community Harvest Festival on the autumn equinox. Live music, food from in-house and local food trucks, a mini vendor market, cider donuts, apple picking, a photo booth, pie-eating contest, tours of the orchard, and more make it a party. Chow down on Up in Smoke barbecue, Super Nacho Mexican dishes, and other bites as you enjoy a cider from the tap.

Bonsai Bar

Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard, North Salem

Bonsai Bar comes to Harvest Moon in Westchester this fall with a night of fun that you won’t want to miss. The community event includes hayrides, a farm market with apple cider donuts, pumpkins, and queer merchandise, live bluegrass music, a drag story hour, a craft station for the kids, and a DJ and disco dance party. Head to the Bad Seed Hard Cider bar to pick your sip of choice and dine on pizza and paella to end your night.
