Launched by Hilarie Burton Morgan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, MF Libations has already debuted a rye whiskey and a blackberry gin in the local spirits market.
After reading our feature on gin—you now know that this spirit is, well, in! So much so even celebs are joining the gin game. MF Libations, a new brand from local actors Hilarie Burton Morgan (“One Tree Hill” and “White Collar”) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“The Walking Dead” and “Supernatural”) launched two bottles a few months ago: Bonfire Smoky Rye Whiskey and Blackberry Gin. The gin is made with wild blackberries from their 100-acre Mischief Farm in Rhinebeck, which Burton detailed in her 2020 memoir The Rural Diaries, and seven other botanicals in addition to juniper including red rooibos, bitter orange peel, and coriander seed. The couple worked with Eral Gokgol-Kline, the founder of The Vale Fox—a small-batch estate distillery in Poughkeepsie known for its limited-edition gins—to create the MF Libations line.
