My Cousin’s was founded in 2021 by David Gallo. David grew up in Yorktown Heights and started his restaurant career washing dishes. He eventually became a cook before making his way to the front of the house, waiting tables, bartending, managing, and eventually ownership. My Cousin’s is his second restaurant venture. David helped open The Chophouse Grille in Mahopac in 2012, and eventually sold his share in 2015. After David left the Chophouse, he was introduced to fine dining working for Lidia & Joe Bastianich in Manhattan, at the world-renowned Del Posto waiting tables. It was here David gained a better appreciation for the artistry and scientific precision of running a Michelin star restaurant. While David plans on bringing that level of detail and professionalism to My Cousin’s, the atmosphere will be more laid back and comfortable.
