Using the basic batter recipe, you can prepare different stuffings to fill the blossoms before dipping and frying. Some single-stuffing ingredients include small-cubed Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese; well-drained, chopped fresh tomato; or fresh basil pesto. Just a teaspoon will do. You can also make combination mixtures. Mix some shredded cheese (yellow or white) and finely chopped mushrooms with spices for a plump, savory blossom dish. Bits of pre-cooked chopped meat or sausage meat mixed with some red sauce is an excellent stuffing and makes a delicious mini-meal.
