Dine where Italy meets the Mediterranean in the Hudson Valley: Il Figlio Enoteca
After operating the famed Il Barilotto in the village of Fishkill for almost two decades, restaurateur Scott Rosenberg moved down the street to open “Il Figlio Enoteca.” Il Figlio, which translates to “the son,” is a multi-level restaurant that brings the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean to the Hudson Valley. Combine that with an expansive cocktail and wine program and it’s no surprise that the restaurant has been named the Hudson Valley’s “Best Restaurant in Dutchess County” for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Don’t forget to check out La Sorella, “the sister” next door. It’s a modern cafe and mercato serving casual fare from the same team and was recently recognized as “Best New Restaurant” for 2025.
