Functional mushroom brand Alice Mushrooms brings fun and delicious experiences to Wylder Windham this June in celebration of Global Wellness Day.
June 8 means Global Wellness Day in the Hudson Valley, and award-winning boutique resort Wylder Windham has planned the perfect weekend getaway experience for guests. The Greene County hotel has partnered with functional mushroom brand Alice Mushrooms to bring visitors fungi-focused activities and experiences like foraging walks, mushroom-centric culinary options, stargazing events, and more in Windham.
If you haven’t yet heard of ever-popular Alice Mushrooms, the brand is on a mission to make functional mushrooms fun, indulgent, and delicious. Even mushroom haters can’t resist Alice’s three powerful chocolates, each made with different fungi to deliver lasting health benefits. The brand’s Brainstorm bar is for focus, the Nightcap for sleep, and the Happy Ending for arousal. Recently, the New York Times has even praised Alice Mushrooms as a boundary-breaking product as it moves to the forefront of the modern wellness movement.
“We’re thrilled to team up with Wylder Windham, a leader in wellness travel, to spread awareness of the benefits of functional mushrooms,” says Charlotte Cruze, co-founder and COO of Alice Mushrooms. “Our organic mushroom chocolates are designed to naturally support health and well-being, so we couldn’t ask for a better partner to help us achieve our mission.”
For Wylder Windham, the partnership couldn’t be more fitting as the resort already offers so much in the way of weekend retreat wellness. From outdoor adventures to sunrise yoga and sound baths, the Greene County destination is brimming with distinct character and spiritually focused amenities.
“Wylder Windham is all about enjoying the unique, local vibe of the magical town of Windham, and embracing the wide-open spaces and timeless pleasures that the land has to offer,” notes John Flannigan, founder of Wylder Hotels. “Partnering with Alice Mushrooms to provide our guests with even more immersive wellness experiences aligns perfectly with our mission to help travelers disconnect from the stresses of our everyday world and reconnect with nature and our overall well-being.”
Starting on June 8, the Windham resort will offer its experiences in partnership with Alice Mushrooms for free to hotel guests, with the exception of mushroom meals at the hotel’s signature restaurant Babbler’s. A guided foraging walk will be led by local expert Renee Baume and begin with an Alice Mushrooms Brainstorm bar before foragers seek and collect wild edibles and herbal plants and try their hand at nature crafts.
A stargazing experience will feature s’mores made with Alice Mushrooms Nightcap chocolate, which helps regulate sleep cycles. For those who are working during their Windham getaway, deep work mushrooms stations will be set up throughout the property for remote work, and each station will include Alice Mushroom Brainstorm bars for ultimate focus.
Finally, Chef Thomas Gulbrandsen has worked closely with Alice Mushrooms to incorporate the functional fungi into the menu for mushroom meals at Babbler’s. Guests can indulge in the signature dish, the Wellness Dip, which is a traditional roast garlic hummus with Lion’s Mane mushroom for added health benefits.
These special wellness experiences will be available at Wylder Windham on select days throughout the year. Wylder Windham is located at 19 State Route 296.
